Senior Engineer – Steam Delivery and Shell Technology Component Design Technology nr ref: E/ST/SD

Overview

The Senior Engineer for the Steam Delivery and Shell Components team owns all attributes of the Requisition and New Product Design activities supporting both the New Units and Services Markets. Design Tasks

Lead component design team in execution of New Product Introduction, Custom Design requisitions and Customer support activities for the New Units, and Aftermarket / Services businesses.
Follow Tollgate Process from Conceptual Design thru field validation for all Steam Turbine Valve and HP Shell designs for the broad range of turbine output.

Senior Engineer – Rotor Mechanical Design nr ref: E/ST/RMD

Role Summary/Purpose:

The Senior Engineer – Rotor Mechanical Design will lead major design initiatives and technology projects on steam turbine rotor in support of key business objectives. The person in this role will design and optimize steam turbine rotors to deliver on new product/technology introductions. This role will interface with various teams, including materials & process engineering and Global Supply Chain to develop new rotor design for next gen steam turbines for GE.

Essential Responsibilities:

Focus on design process and methods development that result in robust steam turbine component mechanical designs.

Range of duties:

The Umbilical Engineer will report to a Subsea Oil and Gas project manager; the projects may vary in scope from studies to EPC projects.
Communication: The Umbilical Engineer will communicate daily with the project manager on the telephone, and via on-line collaboration tools (WebEx). He/she will communicate with vendors and clients via telephone as required by the project manager.
In general, the umbilical engineer will be responsible for ensuring that outsourced umbilical’s meet the customer requirements and industry specifications. This responsibility will include all phases of umbilical procurement from initial tendering to final product acceptance.
Specifically: review/prepare, issue and file project documents, reports, procedures, etc., review suppliers and customers documentation, monthly reporting, follow up of interfaces, suppliers, manufacturing and participate in required testing.
